I had a visit from Entrepreneurs' Forum director Peter Vardy to Trampas which was exciting. He booked in under his name so I knew to expect him and he had a hair cut. It was great to have that personal support with the Forum as a finalist in the competition.
The business is going well. It is getting busier by the day. I work part time as a nurse and run Trampas with my son. We do hair cuts and traditional wet shaves amongst other services. We were taught the craft of wet shaves by celebrity French barber Daniel Rouah who tends to some of the Chelsea football players. He came and did a work shop for us which was great. We also do holistic treatments such as massage, reflexology and hot stones.
We have come up with some great packages for customers such as the Stag Shaving Party where the groom goes free and has a complimentary manicure and beer!
I also run a flower business called Fragrant Symphony where we have set up a parallel diary of dates from customers and then a few days before we text them and ask if they would like any flowers. I love the creative side of running my own business and coming up with ideas.
I found the Entrepreneurs' Conference and the speakers there so inspiring. I hope I can use those pearls of wisdom to apply to my business.
I still have time for my hobbies too. I am a wale and dolphin lover so I became a marine mammal medic. If ever one was stranded I could tend to it until the vet arrived.
